Seagate Backup Plus Ultra Slim Hard Drive Launched In India At Rs 5,699

On Monday, Seagate India has announced the launch of Seagate Backup Plus Ultra Slim Hard drive; the company claims this is the "world's thinnest 2TB mobile hard drive" in the country. The hard disk will be available in 1TB and 2TB storage variants and will be priced at Rs 5,699 and Rs 8,399 respectively. Both variants are exclusively listed on Amazon India in Gold and Platinum metallic colours.

Users can keep more than 500,000 songs, 320,000 photos or 240 hours of high definition video in Backup Plus hard drive. The hard drive includes Seagate Dashboard software for easily scheduled backups. The company has also packaged 200GB of free Microsoft OneDrive cloud storage for two years.

The Seagate Backup Plus Ultra Slim is a 2.5-inch HDD that is just 9.6mm thin - the company says this makes it 50 percent thinner than other 2TB drives on the market.
