Xiaomi Mituwatch - The Smartwatch Specially designed For Kids


The Xiaomi has introduced a special unexpected device, a smartwatch for kids, The Mituwatch. The Mituwatch is specially designed and developed keeping the kids in mind. The smartwatch is priced at 299 Yuan (approximately Rs 3,064) in China.

The Mituwatch has an LED dot-matrix display and comes with silicone straps which are FDA approved. The watch is equipped with an SOS button; in emergencies, after this button is pressed a seven-second audio will be recorded and sent to the parents. It also has built-in GPS, which will send the real-time location of the kid to parents. It is best to keep track of your child while he’s performing any kinds of activities.

Mituwatch has a built in Mi phone card with credit worth 10 Yuan. The phone card's credit will be used for sending real-time GPS location of the kid. The dedicated app gives you some extra functions as well. For example, You can set up security zones for your child, so if he / she leaves a certain area, you will be notified via the app immediately. The group chat is also a part of the app, and you can set up to 12 emergency contact if needed, and all of them will be notified in case of an emergency.

The watch also comes with a built-in pedometer, WiFi, GPS/GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0, and Alarm. It packs a 300mAh battery, which claims to offers up to two days of usage when fully charged and up to six days of standby time. The Smartwatch is compatible with Android 4.2 or higher and iOS 8 or higher. The smartwatch measures 18.9×4.0×1.5 cm and weighs 30 grams.
