Facebook Pays $10,000 To A 10 Year Old Jani

A 10-year-old impressed Mark Zuckerberg by hacking Instagram, the photo-sharing application owned by Facebook. The social networking giant Facebook has paid $10,000 to The Helsinki-based boy genius, called Jani for spotting a bug in Facebook-owned photo-sharing platform Instagram.

Yes, that’s right! Jani from Finland got to know about a security bug in Instagram, as reported by VentureBeat.com, which is a technology site. He found a bug in Instagram, which requires you to be at least 13 before even signing up; that lets him delete any comment on the social network.

"I would have been able to eliminate anyone, even Justin Bieber," Jani said.

According to the report, "He reported the bug by email, offered proof by deleting a message on one of Facebook's test Instagram accounts, and it was fixed in February. Facebook paid him the bug bounty in March."

The Jani wishes to become a security researcher. "It would be my dream job. Security is very important," he said. He used the reward money to buy a new bike, football gear, and computers for his two brothers.
