Blackberry CEO John Chen confirmed that the Blackberry Priv will launch this year

Recently we publish a news about BlackBerry first Android phone. Now we are comes with the official news that the BlackBerry finally decided to join Android team, it means BlackBerry first Android phone will soon launch. During BlackBerry earnings report, the company officially announced it would release an Android phone named BlackBerry Priv. Also there are so many rumour about its name but its confirm that, The BlackBerry Priv will be the official name.

Blackberry CEO(Chief Executive Officer), John Chen said,

"I am confirming our plans to launch Priv, an Android device named after BlackBerry's heritage and core mission of protecting our customers' privacy. Priv combines the best of BlackBerry security and productivity with the expansive mobile application ecosystem available on the Android platform." The Priv word is a part of Privacy and Privilege.

The Blackberry confirmed that it has added support for Android for work on the BES12 platform that offers security for enterprise customers. Also they confirmed that the Blackberry Priv smartphone can be expected to be available late in the calendar year in-store and online.
