HTC Nexus 2016 (Marlin) now spotted on Geekbench: rumored specs include Android Nougat 7.0 and 4GB of RAM


As you might already know, that Google will launch 2 Nexus smartphones this year.  The two new Nexus models coming from HTC this year, the HTC Nexus S1 with a 5-inch display, and the HTC Nexus Marlin (M1) with a 5.5-inch screen. Both devices have already had their specs leaked, and now, the HTC Nexus Marlin has been spotted on Geekbench.

According to Geekbench, the Nexus M1 is expected to run on Android Nougat 7.0.1 which is the latest version of Android. It will feature a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. It will be powered by a quad-core 1.6GHz Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with the Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of RAM.

The leaked spec also includes A 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. A Fingerprint scanner will also be included with the smartphone, and the smartphone will have 32GB/128GB of internal storage. It will feature a USB Type-C port.

HTC is rumored to begin shipping the new Nexus models this September. Pricing is unknown for now.
