Google launched Smart Wi-Fi Router "OnHub"


   On Tuesday, Google launched its smart Wi-Fi Router named OnHub. Also it claims easy to configure and use. The OnHub Wi-Fi Router can be Pre-order via Online retailers Amazon, Google Store and Walmart for $199.99 (approx. Rs.13,000). The smart Wi-Fi router OnHub developed in conjunction with TP-LINK, the Taiwanese maker of networking products.


   The OnHub has Cylindrical shaped Router like JBL wireless speaker. Also the router comes with In built 13 antennas six are 2.4GHz and six are 5GHz and remaining is congestion sensing that will scan airwaves to spot the fastest connection. OnHub can automatically updates with new features and other security upgrades. Also the OnHub have companion app named Google On and its available on Android, iOS platform. The app speaks in a language you understand its means app guides you through simple setup and makes it easy to see which devices connected to your network. Using this app you can configure the router by creating username ans password, also you can track the bandwidth and run network checks.


   OnHub support Wi-Fi standards including 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 802.15.4, Bluetooth Smart Ready and Thread. Also Google claims OnHub enable speed up to 1900 Mbps and connections for up to 128 devices. It looks different from other routers because its designed to be out in the open, which gives you the best signal. OnHub works with cable, DSL, Fiber and other service providers.
